๐ Change PIM Project During Scanย
When the PIM project needs to be changed during patient scanning, follow the instructions below.
For a smooth scanning workflow, changing the PIM library or prosthetic information before starting the scan or after the scan is completed is recommended.
Changing the project during scanning is recommended only in the following cases:
- Incorrect number of PIMs

Adding a Cap Scanbody

1. Change Number Of PIMsย
When the wrong number of PIMs is selected during scanning in ScanApp i, the project can be changed by returning to the same project in DOFSync without closing ScanApp i.
Changing the number of PIMs deletes all previously scanned PIM data.
- Return to the same project in DOFSync without closing ScanApp i.
- Add or remove PIMs, then save the changes.
- Return to ScanApp i and continue the PIM scan.
- In the Indication window, use the mouse to remove or add tooth positions to change the number of PIMs and the tooth positions.

2. Add Cap Scanbody Libraryย
When a Cap Scanbody is not added during scanning in ScanApp i, the project can be modified by returning to the same project in DOFSync without closing ScanApp i.
- Open the project and select any tooth to enter the Indication.
- In the Indication window, select the any PIM tooth, then click 'Select Library' in the Cap Scanbody Library.
- Select the desired Cap Scanbody Library, then click 'reflect All'.
(When using a DOF Cap Scanbody, select PIM Type > DOF > DOF Cap Scanbody)
- After verifying the added Cap Scanbody Library, click Save.
- Cap Scanbody scenario is added to ScanApp i, enabling manual alignment of the base data and PIM data.
