The PIM (Precise Implant Measurement) solution is DOF’s high-precision scanning solution, specifically optimized for All-On-X cases.

Developed with DOF’s proprietary technology, the PIM solution expands the scanning area through a dedicated PIM Guide equipped with an illumination extension lens, enabling the simultaneous capture of multiple scan bodies outside the oral.

By scanning a wide area in a single shot, it instantly recognizes the position of scan bodies without stitching, providing the precise location of implants.

The PIM solution of FREEDOM Air is an All-in-One system that combines all the advantages of intraoral scanners and extraoral photogrammetry scanners.

It delivers the convenient workflow of an intraoral scanner along with the high accuracy of an extraoral photogrammetry scanner. In particular, it enhances the data alignment process, which used to be cumbersome in conventional methods, allowing for an easier and faster workflow.

1. All-on-X 

All-on-X is a specialized solution that enables full-arch restoration by supporting all teeth with X number of implants.
It is a prosthetic treatment method designed for fully edentulous patients or patients with severely damaged teeth.

“X” represents the number of implants, commonly 4 (All-on-4) or 6 (All-on-6).

2. MUA (Multi-Unit Abutment) 

Multi-unit abutments (MUA) connect the implants to the final prosthesis and are used in full-arch implant restorations such as All-on-X.

Various companies offer MUAs in different shapes and angulations, and the MUA systems compatible with the PIM solution can be found in the document below.

3. Photogrammetry 

Photogrammetry is a technology that creates 3D data using photographs taken from multiple angles.

By analyzing these images and calculating 3D coordinates, it provides more precise measurements of implant positions compared to conventional methods (such as scan body scanning), resulting in higher data accuracy.
