📌 PIM KIT Cleaning And Sterilization Guide
The PIM Scan Body is supplied in a non-sterile condition. For patient safety, it must be sterilized before use.
Cleaning and sterilization should be performed according to the instructions below.
Using a product that has not been properly sterilized may lead to infection; therefore, always ensure the scanbody is sterile before use.

2. Cleaning And Sterilization Method
- PIM Scanbody & Cap Scanbody
[ Cleaning Method ] |

① Rinse under running water and gently remove contaminants using a soft brush. ② Soak in a pH-neutral, enzymatic detergent for 5–10 minutes, following the detergent manufacturer's instructions. (Do not soak the device in enzymatic detergent for longer than recommended.) ③ Rinse thoroughly under running water to remove any remaining detergent. ④ Dry completely before packaging. (For cloth, use a dry, lint-free cloth) ⑤ Place the device in appropriate sterilization packaging. ⑥ Autoclave according to the recommended sterilization conditions. |

① Wipe off contaminants with running water for more than 30 seconds. ② Soak in diluted detergent (Endozime) for more than 30 seconds. ③ Wash with flowing purified water for more than 30 seconds. ④ Remove moisture by wiping with a clean non-absorbent or soft cloth. ⑤ If the stain is still present after following the above procedure, replace the guide and cover. ⑥ Wiping with strong force may scratch the lens, which may affect the quality of the scanned data. ⑦ Place cleaned, dried guide and cover in a sterile bag (or pouch) and seal tightly. ⑧ Place the guide and cover in the autoclave while the bag (or pouch) is still sealed. |
